Ohmygosh! 10 days to go!

Well, here it is, 10 days on the countdown and still so much to do! We're plugging away, and getting stuff done, but every time we turn around, it seems there is more to do! The last thing on our seemingly limitless checklist was to go downtown and pick up the marraige liscense. Just the parking alone in downtown Clayton during the day is enough to give you a headache! Last week when we went down to apply, the parking lot was a zoo and there were a few close calls... So we almost have all the place cards done (thank you Jen Zilch), the pew bows made, the programs tied up, the favors made, the flowers ordered, the dresses picked up. We are up to our eyes in toole and ribbon and cardstock, and couldn't imagine being more excited!

However, the happiness of our big day has been dampened by the way the Cardinals are playing lately. After all, we chose Cardinal red as our color because we thought for sure we'd be cheering them on at the tv in the bar at the reception! Well, I guess we can't win them all. And to show we're not bandwagon fans, we'll go ahead and keep the cardinal red as our theme. Besides, there's no way we would have changed it to cubs blue!

29 Days and counting!

Yep, there are only 29 days to go until the Big Day! But instead of the "to do" list getting shorter, there seems to be more things to do. Heather met with her pastor yesterday to discuss how we wanted the ceremony to go, and instead of it clarifying things for us so we can make the program, we have even more things to decide! Between Pachbel, Clark, Mozart and Bach, which scripture verse we want to use, what readings we want to include, how many solos... Did you know that now Methodist wedding ceremonies don't ask "who gives this woman?" and they don't say "I now introduce Mr. and Mrs..." or day "you may now kiss the bride!" That's how you seal the deal! But thankfully, Pastor Michael McIntyre offered to put them back in without us even having to ask. Whew!

But really, we are getting so very excited to celebrate with everyone. The countdown is on!

He is due in January, So technically there will be 6 groomsmen in the wedding :) Heather is excited because she will be an 'honorary aunt' and can't wait to see the little peanut!
