GOOOOO CARDS!

Woohoo! The Cards won the World Series Championship! We were so excited to be at "Game 5," which was really game 4, since Wednesday's game was rained out. It was so great! Last time the Cards went to the World Series, we had tickets to game 5 but they got swept in 4 games.

This year, not only did the Cards win the game we went to, but we won the Championship! It was such a thrill to actually be there. It's so different to be there in person than watching it on t.v. When we got a hit or run or a fantastic play, the crowd was so into the game, and we were a part of it! And trying to get out of Busch Stadium was rediculous because of all the wild Cardinal fans, but it was well worth it, although we were a lilttle tired the next day ;)

And on a side bar, although Pujols wasn't voted MVP for the National League, we were thrilled that Ryan Howard got the coveted title. He's such a great guy!

Happy Halloween!

Tim and I had a great Halloween this year. We went to a party at Deb's house the Saturday before Halloween and had a great time! There were some pretty creative costumes there, including Garth Brooks, Mario, Strawberry Shortcake, a doctor, a mummy, a zombie, Marilyn Munroe, and Joe DiMaggio! (we were Marilyn and Joe, in case the costumes were too good and you didn't recognize us). :)
For Halloween, we wanted to show our appreciation to the World Series Champions, so Tim designed a fantastic pumpkin! It wasn't too hard to make, and the dogs loved helping. Go Cards! We handed out candy to the kids, and were pleasantly surprised that we had a lot of Trick-or-Treaters this year.

The weekend after, we went to Bonnie and Kristi's house for a Halloween/birthday party. There were too many good costumes to remember them all. It was a great time, the whole week of Halloween. Our first Halloween as a married couple!
