Our Trip to Petsmart

Mom and Dad take us to Petsmart for our birthdays every year. Copper just turned 3, so we went to the Petsmart so he could pick out his present. Dad tried to give him a tennis ball and I loved it, but Copper wasn't so sure. I think he really just wanted to sniff all the different types of dog food that were on the shelves and talk to the other dogs that were there.

I tried to talk them into getting Copper a hamster, but they wouldn't go for it. I secretly hopped Petsmart would start carrying Meercats because I love to watch them on t.v. but so far they haven't gotten them in yet. Watching the hamsters in their cages was almost as fun as watching the animals on Planet Earth- my favorite show ever!

Copper ended up getting tennis balls that taste like Peanut Butter (we call them Crack balls because we're so addicted to them!) I was so excited, I couldn't wait to get home to eat them!

I know, I know, it was his birthday, but I usually talk him into letting me have them. I actually have both of them in my mouth at the same time which is a trick, let me tell you. Mom says it's because I have such a big mouth! Do you believe that? Copper wasn't too happy that I had them both, but what are big sisters for?

I eventually shared them with him, and Dad played Catch the Ball In the Air with us, until bed time. We were pretty tired from all the Petsmart excitement that day. I can't wait to go again, and maybe this time get a hamster in a ball to play with :)

Woooo Hoooooo!

I just found out this weekend that I passed the Praxis test (that's the big exam I had to pass to be certified as a biology teacher). That is a major load off our minds! Now all I have to do is my student teaching this summer and finish my portfolio. Yeah!

too long

I know, I know, it's been too long since the last time we posted (by we I mean Heather). There is too much to do and too little time, like always. Especially since Heather recently got offered a position at St. Charles West High School as a science teacher! Yeah! She will start on August 6th, a really great birthday present! She recently took her teaching exam in biology, and will find out soon how she did... we'll keep you posted ;)

Spring definately got off to a running start for us. Maybe it was because winter lulled us into a semi-relaxed schedule, but it's been so hectic lately! Tim has had a great time coaching middle school lacrosse again this spring. He's sad/glad it's over now- very time consuming, but he's a great coach! And of course softball keeps up the competitive side for him, twice a week. Heather's not playing this year, because she is going to be so busy doing her student teaching this summer. And on the few days we're not busy, we are either taking the dogs on walks or trying to get in some homebrew time! Our next adventure into that will be raspberry blonde ale (Yum!) We'll have time now that lacrosse is over.

Heather got to visit Jill and Brad and our "nephew" Ethan- although that was in January and now he's 4 months old! He's the biggest cutie though, and we can't wait for him to come visit with his mommy in June :)
Our friends Brian and Krystle just got married (over 2 months ago- March 17th) and we had fun celebrating with them. Don't worry you Rolla kids, we drank green beer although the bride found out we brought the dye and wasn't too amused! (sorry Krystle!)

Other than that, life has been great. We recently "celebrated" our 7 month anniversary. Can you believe it's been that long already? It's been a fantastic 7 months, though. Well, that's about it for now. We'll have a pretty busy summer though, so lots to blog about. Keep checking in (I will try to keep up a little better). Our next big event is the next wedding- Rob and Danielle are tying the knot next month!
